Alfred-Arthur Brunel de Neuville (1852–1941) was a French painter known mainly for paintings of still life and animals, especially cats. Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville was born Alfred Arthur Brunel on 8 December 1852 in Paris to the artist Léon Brunel (1816-1896) and his wife Marie Zénaïe Champenois. Although little is known about his early education, he is believed to have received artistic tuition from his father.
Forsyth was the first student of the Indiana School of Art in Indianapolis and entered the Munich Academy along with T. C. Steele and J. Ottis Adams in 1882. He later returned to Indiana in 1888 and was instrumental in founding the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, serving as an instructor there until 1933. He died March 29, 1935, and was buried in Section 39, Lot 298 Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana. Driving east from the south-west corner of Section 39,a pink granite monument has been erected to honor the memory of Forsyth (several rows back), together with a bronze bas-relief portrait of the artist.

Antoni Caba was born in Barcelona. He attended the Escola de la Llotja during the 1850s, where he studied with Pau Milà i Fontanals and Claudi Lorenzale. Supported by a stipend from the school board, he later attended the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid, where his primary instructor was Federico de Madrazo. His first exhibition came in 1864, at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts. The government bought one of his works for the collection of the Museo del Prado.

Il s’installe à Paris en 1859 et travaille pendant deux à trois ans pour l’industrie. Entre 1863 et 1864 il travaille chez Théodore Rousseau à Barbizon pour l’aider dans ses travaux décoratifs pour le prince Demidoff.
Alexis Kreyder participe à son premier Salon en 1863 et y expose pendant les trois décennies suivantes. Il reçoit des médailles en 1869, une médaille de 2e classe en 1884 et une médaille d’argent à l’Exposition universelle de 1889.
